The aim of the ITEC Diploma in Reflexology for the Complementary Therapist is to enable Learners to gain the necessary practical & theoretical skills in order to provide reflexology treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the Reflexology Industry.

What is Reflexology? 

Reflexology is the study of reflexes of the feet that correspond to the various parts of the body.  These reflexes are found on the Feet, Hands and Ears.

What do I gain from this qualification?

An ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology for the Complementary Therapist 

and/or An Aromaflex Academy Diploma in Integrated Reflexology.

What do I call myself after I gain this qualification?

A Reflexology Practitioner or an Integrated Reflexologist.

The Diploma in Reflexology Course Structure is:

Made up of 3 weeks (including on-line assessment & case study work): 

  • Week 1: Reflexology - The Feet, (including Provide Reflexology for Complementary Therapies)
  • Week 2: Reflexology - Hand Reflexology, (including Principals & Practice Complementary Therapies)
  • Week 3: Integrated Reflexology - Ear Reflexology, (including Business Practice for Complementary Therapies).

What is my commitment?

You need to allow time for approx  1000 to 1200 hours, which is about 20 hours per week over one year.  You can do this course in one or two years.   

This is a blended learning course.  Attendance is required for at least 2 of the 3 weeks in Nelson.  Attend via Zoom one week if you cannot make it.  The rest of the study is learning from your own home.

The three weeks are spread over the year, being 12 weeks apart beginning in March of each year and finishing in October.  The teaching week runs from Monday through to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Case study work and other assessment documents are done outside classroom hours.  The learning platform provided, includes videos and other tutorial support and assessments.  Class size is limited to no more than 6 students per class.

Who is this course designed for?

It was designed for:

1.  People who know nothing at all about Reflexology.                                                     2.  Practitioners who are already qualified in Aromatherapy, Massage, Beauty therapy etc. who want to add another skill and recognized qualification to their practice.               3.  Nurses, Doctors, Aged Care Support Staff, etc. Who are curious to know more about Reflexology on the feet, hands and ears to assist with upskilling hours or to be curious about a new skill set.
