The aim of the Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy is to train and empower learners to become a qualified Professional Aromatherapist.
Aromatherapy is the study of essential oil science and the practice of Swedish massage. This IFPA Diploma in Aromatherapy will enable you to practice as a Professional Clinical Aromatherapist anywhere in the world. Learn about Aromatic Medicine and how to administer essential oils safely. The programme provides skills to encourage professional practice and confidence in setting up your own business. Topics included but not limited to are: the art of blending, chemistry, anatomy & physiology, pathology, aromatic formulations, client chart metholodogy, special topics, etc.
The Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy is both nationally and Internationally approved. (This qualification trains you in the traditional 'English style of Aromatherapist', as it is known by the French, Britain, Europe, South Africa and Australia)
To complete the ITEC Qualification in the Diploma in Aromatherapy; the students must attend in-class training in Nelson, NZ and attend 4 of the week block courses in order. The four weeks are spread over the year, being 11 weeks apart beginning in March of each year and finishing in October. The week runs from Monday through to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Case study work and other assessment documents are done outside classroom hours using the learning platform provided which includes videos and other tutorial support. Class size is limited to no more than 8 students per class.
To complete this Qualification (both the in-house AMI Diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy and The ITEC Diploma in Aromatherapy); students must attend at least 1 of the 4 week block courses that are held in Nelson, NZ. Those 3 weeks the student cannot attend class in person, would require to attend in class via Zoom and be present via that way. In between structured class hours, students need to complete other assessment work, as described in the enrolment brochure and handbook.
Another option to do this course ENTIRELY ON LINE WITHOUT COMING TO NELSON. Note: You will not be eligible to qualify for the ITEC qualification.
